Definitely something gone on in recent days.

Pearson was talking about staying on last week.

And the official statement basically says "He's left "

With no thanks of acknowledgement of the job he had done.

Quite a few rumours going around as you might expect.

If they just didn't want to keep him might as well waited a week when Pearson was out of contract.

That smacks of vindictiveness on someones part. They could have issued a statement saying he's done a great job but it's time to take the club in a new direction... Sacking him with a week to go sounds like someone is upset.

To be honest it is not a smart move on the owners part if you are looking to attract the best manager you can treating Pearson like that even if he was in the wrong sends out a bad message.

I hope they get relegated would get all they deserve.
Something must have gone on behind the scenes after Fridays defeat.
Miserable club.

Well any coming in can expect a pay off by Christmas!

You are right - hardly going to attract a manager with long term ideas.

Since the Pozzo family took over the longest serving manager has been the first they appointed, Gianfranco Zola, who was at the club for just under a year and a half.

His contract was until the end of the season. Maybe Pearson wanted talks about planning for next season, the board may have wanted to wait and see which division they would be in, got a bit heated and decided to call it a day now. What ever the board are ruthless, the players thugs and if they go down I for one won’t shed a tear, unlike Elton.

We have received more Reds than them this season, 2 to Watford's 1.
But they have received more Yellows, 73, whereas we have picked up 57 yellow cards.

50% of reds and 20% of yellows are Luka’s.

Word on the street is he hand a bit of a to do with an unnamed defender at half time in the West Ham match and senior players backed their colleague.

Just one on offer and no idea whether there's any truth in it.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

There is rampant speculation and conspiracy theories.
It would appear that the 'Bush telegraph' is in full swing.

The alleged bust up has been denied but are reports of a big row and the Pozzos weren't happy with Pearson's tactics and selections.

But he may well have got the job done. Bizarre
