I have also seen rumours in press we want both Andersen and Kabak. I could be wrong but I think Andersen is a done deal (98% according to transfer market). We could lose Kabak to leicester who are rumoured to have an accepted bid of 8.5 million. I know Shalke want to sell but that seems very low. A few weeks ago the rumours that backup for Kabak was Victor Nelsson another Danish Centre half

Assuming we loan gallagher, We have Luka,Mcarthur Riedeweld in my view all these would start before him thus I think he may be a bench player. This may change if PV sees him as the captain. After Andersons performance at Fulham last season I wonder if he will be club captain. Also are any of u23 players ready to be blooded off the bench? I can't see him renewing contract so will he be allowed to leave before?

Vieira has stated more than once that he only wants to play with ONE 'holding midfielder'. In the two games so far that role has gone to Jairo. Make of that what you will.

dont think we can make much of that yet as luca on returned to pre-season late last week.

As I said, it's still early days. However, I have grave doubts over Luka's ability to play the quick tempo football Vieira is after. Last season he got caught in possession too often because he was too slow to make his mind up what to do with the ball or felt he needed the extra touch. I know Ipswich was his first outing this season and he's behind the other players in his pre-season work, but he again struggled to move the ball at a decent tempo. I'm not convinced he's going to fit PV's system as well as Jairo or Jimmy Mac.

The other one in the mix has to be Kouyate who has so far only featured at the back no?

On the assumption that we get Andersen then surely he moves back into midfield. I do think that Jairo is much the best we have on the ball but whether he has what it takes to play as a CDM with responsibilities to break up play I rather doubt.

This often happens ,a big hullabaloo followed by a deathly quiet and a big nothing.

Given he wasn't in the country and the logistics in COVID times in getting him over for signature and hullaballoo in addition to contract i dotting and t crossing I wouldn't expect anything for a couple of days yet.

Don't think that's an issue.

The issue is that the next step - if its happening - would be the big reveal and he needs to be here for that - wearing the sexy new shirt.

I'd give it to the end of the week before making judgments. Strange times.

Not hard either an electronic signature or you go to a local lawyer and sign the contract in their office.

Fingers crossed we get this over the line I hate this period we've seen too many fail at the last hurdle.
