Yes, God is a pussy and he will deal accordingly on Judgement Day.

We have 15 of the fur babies so are officially 'Crazy Cat People'.

Fair play, keep up the good work

I think you might be in a minority.
A cat or dog gives unconditional love unlike most of us s***bags. When three cats I've had have died I am not ashamed to say I bawled. This subject has been broached on here and many posters felt the same with a pet bereavement. Because you don't feel the same don't mock ones who are affected and wish to remember good times and the love they shared. FYI deceased pets go down the rainbow road.

I agree with you - I grew up with 2 cats and actually got a pup of my own about 6m ago - it's the most rewarding thing I've done in a long long time and I'll happily admit I'm absolutely obsessed with the little s***.

BUT, I'm going to agree with the (presumably) non pet owners that the term 'fur baby' is absolutely horrific.

Oh Cryst, I wish you lived over here. The situation is terrible with strays as the locals will not neuter their cats and dogs. This is how we have ended up with so many (three have died in the last year and two lost) by adopting rescue cats, who would otherwise be on the streets.

Yeah, I got that term from the adoption sites I have visited and it just came out. But in the grand scheme of things I can think of more horrific terminology.

Wow you are exceptional people. Are you trying to educate cat owners into how awful their cats lives may be. Are there no vets who offer the service or do people just not really care?

The vets here are great and most of the Brits have pets. A lot of the Turkish Cypriots like their animals too, but I think it is a cultural thing, preventing the natural order of things. Some do spey the females, but you cannot castrate a male, that's a no no.
