Pogba. The most expensive waste of space ever.

Now likely to get banned:

If he was half as good as he thought he was, he'd be a legend.
Epic t055er.

Get off the fence.

Yeah, definitely good but over-rated and was the subject of hyperbolic waffle that inflated prices.....but it worked for us with Bolasie!

They were both geniuses on the football field, two of the best players to have ever played the game!

Agreed. In both their eras they were very very special.

But no one comes close to Maradonna. Best footballer ever by a country mile.

Something pretty obvious these days is that any decent players are overpriced. Not like your going to make the money back in shirt sales or prize money unless you sign Ronaldo or Messi. At the wages they get, still probably not then either. When you look at it, all top level transfers and wages are well over the top. We've started to think 20 mil is reasonable. It really isn't when you look at teams like Palace's revenue. Not is 100k a week necessary. No wonder nearly all modern footballers are like silly children with toys.

Return on investment is a total illusion in modern day football. Significant income from shirt sales is a complete fallacy. Just look at the numbers. Clubs get about 7.5% of total sales revenue. Last year Man Utd shirt revenue was £100m.
The reason the big dogs invest is pure vanity. Other than Tony Bloom at Brighton, show me one big club making money.

As far as I knew, Bloom and Brighton are servicing debts but they have made transfer profits. Obviously the ground and other things needed paying for. And Lego and airfix aren't cheap on that scale. Even using recycled bottles.
I heard Brighton are well in debt
Believe it was published recently enough.

You are right. But look who the lender is. A certain Tony Bloom.

And Football Italia would just shout his name with an Italian accent.

If you are referring to at the end of the opening credits, then no they didn't.
They said 'great goal' in italian which was something like gol-aggio.

It's long been said that Br*ghton have massive debts but unfortunately they are to Bloom and he doesn't seen to care so they just carry on as usual.
