Do our strikers practice scoring goals in training?
Eduard put a lovely ball through to ayew, one on one and he can’t even hit the target, you’d get slated for that in Sunday football. We’ve got 4/5 strikers that are all reasonable (none any better that reasonable) at the areas of play that don’t include scoring goals. At actually finishing chances they are all f*cking useless.
Actually every Palace player (Gallagher is a Chelsea player) , are a joke in front of goal. The 2 big lumps at the back are pony at attacking the ball , no point us even getting corners.
The midfield just smash the ball over the bar from the edge of the box and when the forwards miss they don’t even look surprised.
If that chance fell to Antonio, Bowen etc they win one nil.
The same people on here arguing for benteke, mateta etc, all your favourites are f*cking wa*kers and shouldn’t be called forwards.

Take conors goals and assists away and we’d be bottom 3.
I started this post quite reasonable but have got more wound up as I have been typing.
They are f***i*g sh*t in front of goal though aren’t they.

Before you have a heart attack look at top scorers chart [Link]

Only Salah and Jota have double figures. Edouard has a better conversion rate than Bowen and Ronaldo and is not far off Salah, Mane and Jota. The issue is not our strikers' finishing it's the fact we're not creating enough chances. Is that the strikers, the midfield, or both? Mateta actually hits the target more often than not, but he seems to have to create chances out of nothing.

An excellent stream that never broke up once - shame the game wasn't of the same quality. It could have gone on for another couple of hours and neither team would have scored.

Just to note that the two recent abject and consistently inconsistent perfomances have coincided with the return of Zaha to the starting line-up. A coincidence I'm sure.
With the system Vieira wants to play some may not fit into the overall scheme of things. I don't think Vieira is going to change the 4-3-3, this limits his options in my opinion.
We'll see, the next three games should give us a good clue as any to where all this is headed.

Not just the strikers. The whole team. Is there a chart for fans being not being fusees when their team gets a corner? We’d be top of that.

The whole midfield, Attack and Manager were absolute Rubbish today, you would have thought we were playing Man City instead of awful Brentford, Mateta, Olise and Eze should all have started, complete rubbish and terrible decision making from PV.

How on earth can we expect to stay up?

Easily, because there really are at least 3 teams who are worse than us!

Scored a worldie midweek and was our best attacking player today. What else do you want from him?

The Zaha bashing is getting f***ing boring now. How about taking a look at Edouard, Ayew, Mateta, Schlupp etc who have all offered nothing over the last two games? Or PV’s inability to influence the game with subs or tactical changes?

The blame for this sits with Vieira. I understand starting Ayew in away games to offer more support to Ward, however, it was clear Brentford offered little going forward. Subs were needed much earlier to give them a chance to impact the game.

2 points from these last two games is piss poor. Minimum was 4. Saints managed 4 points from Spurs and Utd away so our 2 against Norwich and Brentford looks pathetic.

Next up are Chelsea, Burnley & Watford. 6 points or we are bang in trouble.

As long as we don't lose to the likes of Watford and Burnley, we'll be fine.

We are poor away from home because of our slow build up. We have no counter attacking ability at all because we are too busy fannying about at the back

Not bashing Zaha, more to do with the ever changing line-ups and Vieira not knowing his best side, or how to get the best out of those players you mention within his favoured 4-3-3. Something is wrong tactically IMO given the recent poor performances and team selection.
Just to say, I thought that late challenge on Zaha was a penalty, the Brentford player was all over him.

I agree. I thought Zaha was about our only threat, but that isn't saying much though.

A person who clearly didn't watch the full games.

He scored a fluke goal and then went on to have an awful pen miss.

Zaha deserves all the bashing he is a guy who asked to leave because he believes he is champions league quality.

Mateta didnt start the game another hint you didnt watch it and when he did come on he was putting in a lot of effort he just doesnt have the quality.

Schlupp yep shouldnt be starting and many people have stated this and Edouard what you expect from the guy he is not be played as a striker and you see him coming across to the wing doing a lot of defending the role Wilf should be doing also he is getting almost no service when he does manage to go up top.

PV is showing he will play only one way Roy was the same the big difference is Roy setup to not lose also he didnt have the quality we now have yet still managed to do better job.
