If you look at who was at the club for the promotion season and who was also there for the season after it narrows the pool quite a bit. You can then take players like Aki, Derry and Johnson out of the equation as I couldn't see them as being the type to do leaks. You're then thinking given what Jordan said whether it is a fringe player as they seem the most likely to be looking to make a quick bob or two. So, Tommy Black maybe? I did think possibly Routledge but his contract expired in 2005 so that doesn't really fit. Of course Jordan may possibly have made this up as I do think he sometimes comes across as a bit of a fantasist.

TB could be a good shout, did he even play for us in the prem..even if he was o reduced wages. Like another poster said JG possible. What about shipps? He's a sad state now too.

Shipperley was interviewed on the Undr the Cosh podcast and made reference to a dispute between him and SJ. He claimed that he was owed money but was equally resigned to the fact that he had no chance of being paid. No idea if this relates to the link posted.

No idea if this relates to the link posted. strange story - definitely wasn't Shipps , he was only 1 year into a 3 year contract when we got promoted. It must have been a fringe player who didn't feature much in the prem. 2 that come to mind up Butterfield and Derry but as Butts stayed with Palace for years can't imagine it was him. Likewise Derry re-signed for us a few years later so can't see it being him. Maybe Darren Powell??
