Tee-total players like Jordan Ayew, David Beckham & Roy Keane. Or drunks like Gazza & George Best.

Fans getting hammered before the game at the local pub.

Booze for sale in the stadium ( at enormous expense ).

The pub full of drunken fans, and the landlord must pay the exorbitant TV costs or not get any punters in the door. And those scoundrels who hog a table while drinking tap-water.

The sober Ronaldo whose dad died of alcoholism.

The huge statistics for alcoholism among ex-footballers...our own Kenny Sansom or Diego Maradona.

Corporate sponsorship of the Beautiful Game....booze companies and their respectable face.

Drunken football 'experts' who have never kicked a ball in their life.

What other thoughts on Football and Alcohol ?

I tend to stick with a coffee and meal deal from sainsburys before and during the games! 😅 And then go to the pub after the game to catch a 5.30 kick off and get a pint each half and some food.

Somtimes I do get a pint before a game but I hate running to the toilet incase I miss somthing, hold it in till half time and then the long ques for the toilet!

There's not enough of either in my opinion. It's a full time job.

I can't watch the usual rubbish without copious amounts.

Football gets in the way of the drinking.
