Interesting to notice that POG has called them 'Borehamwood'. The football team is entitled 'Boreham Wood' however the gaff is called 'Borehamwood', anybody care to shed light?

Could always set up a team named 'Lewis Ham' a la West Ham, or 'Croy Dons' a la MK Dons? Just a suggestion

Fact is Nick, my predictive text bashed out Borehamwood which is how the town is known. But, you're right, the club is known as Boreham Wood.

I'm not sure of the reasoning although I imagine time rummaging through the Interweb would provide an explanation.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

I'm far too lazy and a committed luddite POG I was hoping to provoke someone a bit keener than I to do the research plus I am still doing work I should have got done today

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Terrific draw for us. Based on watching the first half tonight I think I’d rather take our chances against a really poor Everton side than a team who are going to sit back and defend for 90 minutes. Disappointing that none of the big clubs drew each other again.

I agree, Watching Everton tonight, I’m glad we didn’t get Forest or Middlesbrough, they would have been much harder games

Very strange, the 3 big teams left, all avoided each other.

Odds on 2 of them will be in the final, its what the sponsors want.

They make the balls for the big teams warmer

Everton have a big match against spurs, then wolves, I don't know if their Newcastle game before us will be cancelled, it's 2 days before.

They will need some points on the board from those games, then, after us they have spammers, united, us again and then Liverpool.

We have wolves and city evenly spread out... 3 points on Saturday would be massive too, I feel each game now is massive until we get to 40.

36 will be plenty this season which gives us plenty of breathing room . Its all about the cup for us which isnt the case for anyone else . Good draw for us with regard chances to get through , another poor draw with regard our chances of winning it .

And we still need a striker

The bookies have Everton at 10-1 or 12-1 to win the whole tournament whereas Palace are 12-1 or 14-1. Very strange and quite insulting. It will be a tough game but surely we should be favourite to get to the semis?

I agree, let's have a right go in the cup! To me it makes very little difference coming 11-14th in the league, especially if its clear we are going for a cup run.
