Tony Bloom's investment over the years has been substantial.
He has sunk over £350 million of his own personal fortune into the Albion, paying for the Amex and the American Express Elite Performance Centre at Lancing to be built and investing heavily on the playing side.

Apropos this season, Brighton's transfer expenditure was around £66 Mill, but their sales amounted to around £70 Mill, most of which was the transfer of Ben White to Arsenal.

Last season, Brighton's Net Spend was around £7 Mill but their Net Spend in the previous 3 seasons was a total of around £190 Mill.

Yep, they seem to have looked past that.

Their big issue is that Bloom hasn't invested in a top notch goalscorer that can finish off their otherwise total domination of the opposition

What they can't seem to get their heads around is that those players don't come cheap and wouldn't want to go there anyway.

They paid £18 Mill for Maupay who is their top scorer this season (9) and he has been top scorer the previous 2 seasons.
They have the following strikers out on loan : Andone,Zeqiri and Connolly.
Not too long ago they bought Locadia for £14 Mill but it didn't work out for him at Brighton and he was sold to Bochum.

They don't ( quite rightly ) classify Maupay as a top notch Premier League quality striker.

Of their strikers on loan, I thought Andone looked useful but he has attitude issues. Connolly is Championship level at best.

They wasted money on Locadia, the Colombian winger and the Iranian player - both of whose names I can't spell without looking them up !
