I left school at 16 with 5 “0” levels. It didn’t stop me becoming the MD of a Company but I had to prove myself in sales and marketing first. During that time I interviewed a candidate for a marketing job much like this lady who came over as though they were doing us a favour by applying. When they were rejected they got in touch and demanded an explanation. They got one! Not though one that would have improved their ego.

This was posted recently, and subsequently denied as relevant when I pointed out it was nonsense:-

“Well, it's about where your genetics come from.....they have to come from that region and that can be proven or disproven by a simple biological sample.

The religion you stamp on them is for that individual....or imprinted on them anyway”

Having some time this evening I asked ChatGPT for its opinion. Guess what? It could have been written by me!

“The concept of race is a social construct, not a biological one. While there are genetic differences among human populations, the genetic variation within any so-called racial group is much larger than the variation between different racial groups. In other words, there is more genetic diversity within racial groups than between them.

Human genetic variation is the genetic differences both within and among populations. There is a relatively small amount of genetic differentiation between human populations, indicating that most genetic variation is found within populations, not between them. Genetic differences between individuals from the same population can be as large as those between populations from different parts of the world.

Race is a complex and multifaceted concept that encompasses social, cultural, and historical factors. It has been used to categorize people based on perceived physical and genetic differences, but these categories are not scientifically meaningful in the context of human genetics. The Human Genome Project, an international research effort to map and understand all the genes in the human genome, concluded that there is no basis in the genetic code for the concept of race.

It's important to recognize that the idea of race has been used historically to justify discrimination and inequality. Modern scientific understanding emphasizes the shared genetic heritage of all human beings and the importance of addressing social and economic disparities based on accurate and meaningful criteria rather than outdated and flawed notions of race.”

So the proof is that an AI chat bot agrees.

Which has access to a lot more information than anyone on this site.

That my own opinions resemble its analysis I find reassuring and pretty conclusive.

That's the end of it then. Just ask AI for its programmed opinion on every subject.
Next time ask it when I will become Scottish.

I have a degree in computing and went on to teach it....it's really quite sad to see this.

He actually seems to thinks that an AI program programmed by progressives is some sort of independent answer. The answer here comes straight from the progressive handbook.

When AI programs were first introduced they were putting out all sorts of based opinions which caused problems and complaints from the left and progressives....so they were reprogramed to stick to particular lanes with the issues involved sociopolitical issues like these.

That's precisely what you see here.

Just more misinformation from a source that's quite frankly endless.

I think the idea that AI is somehow unbiased is nonsense. I have not idea about this chatbot but as a general point AI is developed by humans and of course that will reflect in the programming whether they realise that or not.

What sources does an AI access? If you asked a question about Hitler would it source Mein Kampf? Probably not ergo there is bias.

It's no different from reading a book the author will have an opinion based on their world experience the reader has to decide whether the author has a point or its complete nonsense (back to Mein Kampf again).

So using AI without a healthy bit of skepticism especially when it involves politics and opinions is a bit naive.

As anyone with a degree in computing will know an AI chat bot will look at all information sources. It won’t have a political bias. It will weigh the evidence and produce a balanced reply. If science has found new peer reviewed answers they get heavier weighting.

The idea that “progressives” are somehow responsible for out dated opinions not receiving heavy weighting just demonstrates once again that some people posting here have a poor grasp of reality. They seem to think that progress is a political construct.

Anyone who introduces Hitler into an argument is said to have lost it. I asked ChatGPT if Hitler was a good man. The reply was:-

“No, Adolf Hitler was not a good man. He was a dictator who led Nazi Germany and was responsible for the Holocaust, the systematic genocide of approximately six million Jews and millions of others, including Romani people, LGBTQ+ individuals, disabled individuals, and political dissidents. Hitler's aggressive foreign policies and militaristic actions also led to World War II, resulting in the deaths of tens of millions of people. His ideologies and actions have been universally condemned for their cruelty, racism, and disregard for human rights. Hitler's legacy is one of hate, intolerance, and immense human suffering.”

Nothing from Mein Kampf there.

Biased or not there are increasing reasons to be careful with how you interact with these bots.
