Sri Lanka and India's match today is at a fine venue - won't let me leave a link. [Link] but I think you'll see it here.

Quite disgraceful behaviour by the Bangladesh captain.

Completely against the spirit of the game and I'm quite frankly getting fed up with the number of times this beautiful game is being treated like this.

The ICC should do something.

I agree, the spirit of the game has gone.

Step forward, Ravi Shastri, Indian cricket commentator:

India v RSA, lose 6 wickets for 0 in 11 balls.

Shastri said: "My goodness. Yes 153-4, 153 all-out.

"If someone went round the corner for a dump and has come back, India have been bowled out for 153."

Laughter could be heard in the commentary box after the remark.

A huge win against India on their soil, to cheer us all up.

What a result. Great innings from Ollie Pope and well bowled Tom Hartley.

Indeed, very heartening.

I've always regarded him as a talented cricket commentator. Any network that uses him is doing well. He's not there as a tick box exercise who can talk a bit and look good....unlike we may observe in our own cricket commentary since Gower and Botham were forced out.....and some football commentators on the Premiership.

I had written England off but you never know with this approach. I found it quite interesting that England did pick bowlers for the conditions. India may consider a greener track for the next game - which will be a deviation from the normal spin tracks. Interesting next test.

I thought they would go with a different track as well but I'm hearing that the wicket being prepared is actually expected to spin more.

I think they are seeing this as a one off.

Joe Root forsakes bazball to deliver a masterly test match innings, taking England from 112-5 to 307-7.

Ranchi a difficult wicket to bat on.

We are now in this with a shout, thanks to playing the pitch with care and not like clowns.

It's a long time since I have seen a proper test match century from an Englishman, it was probably him as well.
