I shouldn't mention Pogles' Wood.

Tales Of The Riverbank. I showed that to my young grandsons a while ago, and they thought it was great, for about 5 minutes.

All I remember of that is Hammy Hamster being stuck into aeroplanes and speedboats which probably wouldn't go down well now.

I recall watching 'All our yesterdays' with Brian Inglis, 'Sportsnight' with Peter Dimmock and 'Come Dancing' presented by Peter West.

Callan. Edward Woodward played one of the first antiheroes. His grass was the foul smelling 'Lonely'.

As a kid Popeye was a favourite until it went PC with all the violence removed.
Space Patrol was a favourite puppet SF series I not heard mentioned here.
Nor the western puppet show- Four Feather Falls.

Off the top of my head:
The Army Game
Take Your Pick
and the appalling Black and White Minstrels. Hated not cos of racism - I was too young too understand that - I just loathed the music.

Popeye was one of my favourites when we first got a TV that could pick up ITV stations. I hated Bluto.

I also liked Space Patrol with the mad space parrot Gabblerdictum and the blond temptress Marla

Likewise, I hated the B&W Minstrels for the awful anodyne music.
My parents always watched it - I used to get pre-minstrel tension when I knew it was coming on.

Ha anyone mentioned The Singing Ringing Tree which was on BBC and broadcast as part of the Tales From Europe series?

Great theme tunes to these plus Randall & Hopkirk (deceased)
Department S, The Persuaders, The Avengers, Man in a Suitcase.......

Still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end that one, I loved the programme so much, Roger Moore was my hero. I think it used to be on after the Big Match on a Sunday afternoon

Made in Bromley

Is shown on Great TV weeknights at 10pm sandwiched in between Randall & Hopkirk and Return of the Saint but yes if I had to choose a theme then The Persuaders would be top...

I don't recall viewing it on Sunday lunchtime, I believe I watched this programme in the evening.

I was born in 1952, so was never in an 'Action' clip in the programme !!
