Just a general discussion thread.
So, along with the (now revealed) quiche -of-the-day, is there anything you are looking forward to , or hoping to avoid ?

The thing that is going to cause me much humour, is when the Queen Consort, is crowned. And will be known as (to the shock of most people) Queen Camilla. The word 'Consort' will be dropped.

And then the penny will drop for most people, and they will be mightily hacked-off. And i will revel in their displeasure

I am looking forward to it. Flying over for the week for the west ham game and hopefully get a spurs ticket on the day!

Organising an afternoon tea party for the old gals in my block of flats. As long as the weather is nice that weekend should be fun.

As for Camilla I think she deserves it I never bought into the Diana as victim Camilla as the wicked woman.

The person married to a King is a Queen, regardless of either party's 'shenanigans' earlier in life. Has anyone heard of Henry VIII? He divorced twice and his subsequent wives became 'Queen', albeit somewhat briefly in some cases.

I'm looking forward to seeing Prince Edward stand up and scream 'There's only one queen in this room girlfriend ' whilst Sophje (would) scuttles away embarrassed again.

The first , of probably a few, gripes from me. The invitations to the wedding were all hand-written by 'special' calligraphers (see photo). When i say 'special', I mean expensive, and that's the tax-payer footing the bill.
In fact the tax payer (in this cost-of-living crisis) is paying for everything. One of the richest men in the UK, and we are paying for his wedding so he and his/her mates can all pi$$ it up and laugh at us commoners paying for it all.
Where's my invite ?
