Great win at Woking. Onto Chesterfield away. Come on you Ravens. Two wins and it's League Two.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

Not getting my hopes up after last time, but Woking did the double over us this year and yesterday was a convincing win. Should have been about 5-1!

Chesterfield is winnable - beat them recently.

If we do that (big if!), then Notts County almost a certainty at Wembley. Drew with them twice and should have beaten them at Hayes Lane... you never know!!

The 'Best of British' to Bromley.
I recall some of their players from the late 70s/80s, keeper Curtis Hayes, centre-half Phil Emblen (Father of Neil Emblen), striker Butch Dunn, midfielders Sid Williamson and Bernie Merron, winger Dave Waight.Manager John Biddle.

I also recall manager George Wakeling who was previously at Leyton Wingate. He brought Jon Goodman to Bromley from his former club and Goodman went on to play for Millwall and Wimbledon.Jon Goodman featured in a pre-season friendly for Bromley against Millwall at Hayes Lane and Millwall signed him shortly afterwards.

The legendary 'Sido' used to sell programmes at Bromley.

If they get there, it’s a shame the final is the same day Palace are at home to Bournemouth

If they get there and win the playoff we could meet them in the league cup. I wouldn’t really know who to cheer

They lost 3-2 to Chesterfield after extra time, had a good go at it and can be proud of their efforts

Bromley (7th place with 71 points) achieved 36 points fewer than runners-up Notts County. I guess that this, depending on your viewpoint, demonstrates why the play-off system is either 'great' or 'crazy'.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

We’ve gone up twice from 6th I think. Although the original playoffs included the 3rd bottom of the top division and 3-4-5 place in the division below. We beat Swindon one year just before they got done for finances if my memory serves me correctly.

After yesterday’s two semi-finals, you’re right, great AND crazy, they were both cracking games with a brilliant atmosphere. They’re actually much fairer in the national league, with it being only one leg and obviously the team finishing higher getting home advantage, it’s how it should be in the football league, at least give the team that finished higher some sort of advantage

Yes that was the year we beat Blackburn in a two legged final in 89, I think we’re all glad they binned the two legged final for a Wembley one off

I remember Simon Jordan at one point campaigning that the Championship play offs should include teams down to 8th place, clearly it was out of self interest in the hope that we would one day benefit from it. The league & most other clubs didnt agree that it was a good suggestion & it failed to gain any traction.

On the subject of Bromley, can anyone give me the heads up on Bromley Court Hotel? Going to a do there in a couple of weeks. Just wondered.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.
