Oh do behave! Racist has a new terminology so don’t give me that bollo x. If you think immigration is too much you’re racist, if you think physically changing a child’s sex is wrong you’re homophobic or some crap. Please don’t come on here giving your red al theories without doing research. I would add that in the uk everyone has the same opportunities and choices. If you choose not to be the best you can then tough luck, if you do then meritocracy will answer the reason why not. Not colour, sex, disability or whatever else you use as an obstacle and excuse.!

Rather obviously (and not just in the UK) to say that everyone, regardless of background, financial position, social standing, disability… I could go on… has the same opportunities and choices is laughable - and complete and utter dross.

Did you know? 98.0000001% of people are morons.

“Woke” was originally, and still is, exactly what I’ve stated. I don’t know what evidence you have that it is now the things you’ve mentioned. Where are children being mutilated, apart from in certain ancient religions? No one who is serious believes that all white people or men are “demonic”. This is all made up stuff you can read in right wing newspapers or hear on GBTV, Twitter etc.

Edited by Red Al (02 Jul 2023 11.32pm)

I used very emotive language, but purposefully, to overplay the message as the defenders of 'woke' often use sensationalist language to drive that which they are pursuing. Also just for my own amusement.

And children are being mutilated - 'verb. inflict serious damage on' via the likes of hormone replacements and surgeries. This is physical mutilation from which there is no return and the result of gender ideology.

I'm not seriously suggesting 'demonic' is a literal descriptor, I think anybody with two brain cells would realise that, only somebody looking to pedantically critique a point they hold hostility toward as is does not align with their own dogmatic ideology would employ such tactics. Another similar method might be to accuse somebody of reading 'right wing newspapers' or listening to 'GBTV, Twitter etc'.

For the removal of all doubt, I don't know what qualifies as or even is a 'right wing newspaper', I'm young enough to not buy newspapers in any instance, I'm not entirely sure what GBTV even is, or where to watch it, and I've never had a Twitter account or frequently used the platform (I may occasionally peek in where I may be able to). To all extents and purposes I am quite the luddite although Facebook was new and popular when I was in my teens, it did my head in, and I've been adverse to social media ever since (beyond a football forum really).

Very left wing of you though and you've perfectly evidenced my point. You've invented a character there to play the polar opposite to you (somebody entirely indoctrinated) and then tried to attack the fabricated and fictional character as opposed to concentrate on the gist of the points. It's a very feminine form of conflict too, to attack someone's character (even when invented by yourself), again symptomatic of males on the left.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Taken literally obviously not, you are correct but if that’s how you like to contradict and try to put up a deflection away from how it actually is you cannot lose. I was referring to most western civilisations though, not all but the type you and I like to believe we live in.

Utter twaddle.

Have you any idea how much of a lefty stereotype you are when you blame people's resentment to what is happening in this country on 'right wing' newspapers.

No my friend, they are angry about what is happening in the real world on a daily basis. They are angry because our politicians and the media are actively encouraging it.

Our European societies are being destroyed by immigration and over liberalisation.

Red Al came on and defined something. Nicholas then went on and said the cause has mission crept as a consequence of unscrupulous types hijacking it (is it not always so?). Hrolf then came on and said it is all about excess immigration.

Have I summarized accurately?

For my money, those who felt (key word) powerless, isolated and prejudiced reacted and much that followed was a move to fairness.

Sadly, it was also a move to the witch hunt. Those who point the finger can not be questioned. Their allegations - no matter how far fetched, and regardless of an absence or presence of malice and/or intent - are accepted as fact if harm is felt. The Equalities Act puts that presumption on a statutory footing.

It is no wonder white, heterosexual males feel they have to walk the streets mute and staring at the pavement for fear they may offend someone.

Fairness? You'll find fairness in the dictionary - between faeces and fart.

All anyone - whatever their gender, skin colour, sexuality or whatever - has to do is treat people with respect. That’s all that’s being asked… it shouldn’t be difficult, although from the tone of some of the responses to my original post clearly some people struggle with that idea

So if you don't know someone identifies as they and they shout at you for mis gendering them, then that's respect? Or shouting half naked in the street in Pride is respectful to Muslims? Good point. The issue people have is it only works one way. I could give countless examples but pretty sure I'll get a stock reply anyway.

Why would you?

Opportunities are created by several factors.

One is wealth. That is universal. Associations. Very important. Another is hard work.

Race only becomes a seperate issue when immigrants settle in a country where they become a minority.
Why would any immigrant expect to be treated the same as the majority in any country? It is fantasy.
People favour their own and mistrust others, especially where money is involved. That applies to any race in any country.

You cannot successfully legislate for that.

The usual pattern seems to be, move to another country hoping for a better life. Discover that it's difficult. Blame the country that you were originally grateful to migrate to when things get tough.
Commit crime and then blame the police because they stop you.

Riot and get yourself a new pair of free trainers.

Trouble is, it is difficult.

Take Hamtramck city in Michigan. They elected an all Muslim city council (no women of course) and the Wokerati there couldn't have been more pleased and hailed it as a great victory of progress.

Then the council banned the flying of LGBTQ+ flags from all public buildings in the city. They have also approved an ordinance allowing backyard animal sacrifices and have sought to close outlets selling marijuana that Michigan has legalised.

Now the hapless Woke people there feel betrayed! Although of course all of this was entirely predictable.
