My understanding is that the Americans will invest in proportion to their shareholding and Parish is the one causing the blockage as he doesn't have the funds to invest his share.

Might just be cobblers mind you

I always suspected Northampton FC were behind the conspiracy to hold us back.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Seem to remember back in the old of 3/4th division days , as we played them most seasons we had some sort of personal competition with Northampton, exactly what that was about has faded from memory, perhaps some of the older brigade might remember what it was, or if it was.

I am only going by what Parish himself has said, what else is there to go on? It seems a reasonable plan, the proof as always, is in the pudding.
The one year contract extension makes sense to me, players who know the club and are able to fill in where necessary. The Ferguson thing is a mystery though, what's that all about? And Jairo?
It could be argued that we kick the can further down the road each season, but I think it's worth mentioning again the slow but steady evolution from where we were in 2010 to now.

Signing a manager on for another year who doesn’t play any young players or give them a chance and doesn’t care about their development is not at all evolution. Neither are any of his other actions. We have made hardly any progress as a team in 10 years. Look at clubs like Brentford then look at us. It’s a joke. Pepole can disagree with my comments but come the end of the season ahead you will all be complaining when we have kept Hodgson and gone down because we are so complacent.

Actually we have monkey. Yet for some reason they don’t want to spend it on Palace.

£500 isn't going to go far......

Its noticeable that the OP has never said anything positive about Palace.

Lets see what happens before the season starts shall we.

Look at Brentford, they needed a last kick of the match twice not to get beaten by us twice. Their stadium might be new, but it doesn’t have the capacity of Selhurst.
When our dear old club finally stops getting F—-Ed about by any number of outside interests with no interest in Palaces future success ,which won’t be long now , maybe you will find something else to moan about?

Honestly embarrassing how far behind we are other clubs and have no ambition. To have no manager in at this stage and to be even thinking of sticking with Hodgson for another year is embarrassing Parish has to go we will never progress as he has to control everything and doesn’t put trust in anybody else. It’s clear how we are behind so many clubs. Eventually we will go down and all the pepole that are backing him will see. We will not progress ever with this pathetic club structure!!!

Been supporting since 1995ish.

We've never had it so good.

And yes, eventually we will go down. Everyone does.

And when Guehi is sold we will replace him with Tompkins. Benteke was let go on the eve of last season and never replaced.
If Wilf goes, step forward Jordan Ayew !
Oh and the couple of loans which we needed in January apparently, will come in on about August 29th but then even that looks questionable as it looks like we have finished our incoming business now.
11 years at the top table and in a survey in one of today's papers, our highest summer transfer window spend in 2021 puts us 15th out of the current 20 teams, including being behind the likes of Fulham & brighton. Something isn't right.

That is rubbish.

Benteke was replaced. When Guhei is sold and not replaced you can complain, but not about something that hasn't happened yet.

Wilf is exceptional, and a player of his value would be out of our reach.
We might get lucky and sign a young gem like Eze or Olise to replace him, but that is never guaranteed.

Fulham and Brentford have recently been promoted. Judge them in 8 years.
Bright*n have been run well and have made good signings with good managers to steer them.
However, their success does not have any bearing on our progress.

You can be winning one minute and plummeting the next. We have sustained our elite status for a decade, and that is 8 years longer than we have ever managed before.

Rejoice.

We don't have anyone called Tompkins.

As for your comment re our business - it's laughable - the window only opened on Wednesday!, i.e. 3 days ago.

The last paragraph isn't rubbish and Fulham, Brighton and Brentford certainly have not had 11, count them !, years of Premiership resources !!
Further, I am not, examining Wilf's value and ability as a player, just that using Benteke as example, to which could be added Conor Gallagher too, Mr Parish's perennial desire to do transfer windows on the cheap, does not fill me with a great deal of confidence in the likelihood of these players being properly replaced as and when required.

The thing is that you can actually spend more when you have just been promoted because you don't have a massive wage bill.

Being in the PL year after year does not make you richer if your football income is not much greater than your costs.

We did make a mistake with our scatter gun approach when we first came up and our spending on Benteke and Sako who were generally disappointing, but beyond that Parish has been successful.

Do you really expect to get in the Champions League?

Success for us would be a top 10 finish or win a cup. We were cheated out of one FA Cup already.

I don't really fancy being in a Mickey Mouse European competition with our resources like West Ham just won. They have a huge stadium they pay peanuts for.
They can afford the luxury, but still nearly got relegated.
