Zaha wanted Arsenal, Spurs or Chelsea. So he begrudgingly stays with us. Honestly, I don't think it's any more complicated than that. He's a homebody...doesn't want to be taking his family to Saudi or Turkey or even Italy.

After this we will look to secure another 3 to 4 players, 2 of which could be loans to buy or just straight forward loans. Fully expect there to be a CM, ST, Winger & a RB/LB If Mateta goes then we will bring another ST. Judge us at the end of the window not now Still a chance that one off Guehi or Anderson go if big offer comes in.

My issue is that the end of the window is after the start of the season, I would prefer any new signings to be available for pre-season

I think the problem for a lot of people on here about Zaha staying is the wages that are being thrown about in the media and the length of contract. People are taking it a little too personal.

A Sky reporter has stated the hold up is that Wilf's contract with his agent runs out at the end of July which is why no decision has been confirmed yet. He has stated that no decision has been made yet according to inside sources. If true that's not great for Palace in terms of planning. Previous players have talked about a lack of preseason hindering their starts at Palace, so I hope we don't leave our deals to the last minute. Right now Ayew is our only fit and experienced wide player. Given the wings have historically been our strength this is a major worry, more so than any other position I would say.

Dazza, thank you for the update, and i hope you are right, but i struggle to see where all this money is coming from, H&B are not interested, Textor is financially crippled and Parish doesn't have any money, loans are useless unless they are to buy, so if we dont sell, H&B have a change of heart, or we have another mystery investor, i think we will struggle just to pay Wilfs contract, but i sincerely hope you are right

I am more concerned as to whether the delay in Wilf’s decision, is hindering us going for any other targets we may have. Worse case scenario, we miss out on them and then Wilf says he is off.

Hence so many deadline day loans.
