Judging by his waist size I would say Jaro is twice the player

Leaving aside the obvious problem what would the reaction be on here if Palace announced we were signing him for £100m?

I do get the logic, but you look at the effect someone like Rodri has had on City's team, and it's fairly transformative.

Even at a lower level, Doucoure had a massive effect for us.

Yes, that's true but Rice could conceivably end up costing £100m more than Doucoure.
I suppose it's because I still have a very shallow kid-like appreciation of football where I'll be excited by an Eze or Olise but don't particularly care about defensive midfielders.

I was waiting for that one - or that Riedewald had perhaps eaten Rice.

Unfortunately £100 m seams now to be the going rate for a top young player.

The thing that seams to have shifted recently is the willingness to pay 100m for someone with 1 year remaining on their contract. How that can be justified is beyond me.

His relation Boiled is thrown in for free, but there is an extra charge for Fried.

if he joins Arsenal, it could be a marriage made in hell. Nobody throwing confetti or Rice.

Rice is a very good defensive midfielder ,one of the best even . For £100m though I would be looking for some attacking input to go with his defensive quality .

He will improve that part of his game playing for a better side though with gaps being opened up in front of him , Arsenal will be a better side with him in it .

And we still need a striker

A head scratcher. Exactly what Arsenal need and a great player but I'd like to see some magic for that money.

So they might get as far as April before they capitulate ?

The old trophy cabinet is looking very Windows 95.

You might have to move the decimal point a couple of places, as in 0.45 million, and that would be pushing it

Arsenal missed their chance last season IMO . Arsenal will be better but so will City ,liverpool ,Chelsea ,Newcastle and Man Utd . And as mentioned Rice isnt going to set the world alight in the attacking third .
