He can p off to Chelsea for all I care. Good luck warming up the bench for the rest of the season.

I can’t see how the Premier League can continue in its current format. Three years time the top six or seven will be playing with Real Madrid and Munich against these new Arab teams. They’ve got all the money and they’ll soon have all the talent.

Spot on.

What a complete and utter mess.
First we lose Zaha, then by falling out with Chelsea ,we appear to be losing Hall, not forgetting the disillusion we will create with MO,if he is prevented from the move away he so clearly wants.
Great uncertainty whether Olise, stays or goes to join the "project" at Chelsea ,having had his head turned.
The only fact we now know,is that there is definitely a £35m release clause which Chelsea have triggered and that is business.
We have the ability to be grown up and move on,take the cash,or unsettle many by perhaps alleging mal practice, wasting valuable time to sign other prospects with what little time we have left in the current window.Chelsea have the resources to run rings around Parish and we will ultimately be the losers,if matter is investigated by the Premiership powers that be.After all, money talks and the Chelsea mafia have it in abundance!!

I hope all this latest talk of Palace complaining about Chelsea tapping up Olisse illegally does not have an effect on our ability to loan the players we want from Chelsea.
One other point we did manage 3 points away from home without Zaha and Olisse so if he goes it might not be the Armageddon we all fear.COYP

Good points actually, he always looks so laid back and arrogant sometimes. You do wonder when he’s got to work so much harder to get in the team at Chelsea whether he’s got enough fire in his belly for the challenge

I think we will all watch his progress with interest. He was always good to watch with his deft touch and sublime ball skills.

If I had one "criticism" ( not sure that is the right word) of him it would be that he is just a little bit predictable in his play i.e. running wide down the right flank and then cutting in to get the ball on his preferred left foot. But, having said that, all those assists served us well last season.

Tapping up? He had a release clause. As the press said it is informal wingeing that's all.
I am wondering if Olise will make the first team squad? Being injured and where their strengths lie?

Whatever brave face we may attempt to put on, the fact is that we will miss Olise terribly, will struggle to replace him, have less chance of getting into the top half now he's gone and will likely play more prosaic football without him.

Whether it's a formal release clause like Olise has, or the end of a contract looming into view with a player that may not sign a new one, the effect is the same in respect of the 'buy young, develop and sell' model, in that we've no sooner got through the two or three year period in which we must show patience and understanding while the developing young player makes mistakes and is inconsistent, and then he's off.

Even if we somehow find a gem of similar potential to replace Olise, we will likely be back to square one in terms of the individual development process. The same will likely happen with Eze. Whatever money we get, we never get the benefit of the fully developed player.

Just watched sky news and it was last headline on transfer news and it was worded Apparently chelsea have activated olise transfer in region of 25m.
I wish someone from cpfc would confirm or deny something about it

For all their £900m Chelsea still drew with Liverpool at home on Saturday. Good luck Michael!

Not if they spoke to him first before telling us of their intent.

As good as MO is he never really connected with the fans. I always thought he never really wanted to be here. Didnt celebrate goals much with his team mates, all in all quite a strange personality. Sorry to see him go but we move on
