the toffees seem to have spent only a tiny amount on players, this season.

Lets all open the Champagne when they finally break their relegation duck.

Eze Peasy at Anfield....

Everton signed 5 players in the 'Window', 2 of which are on Loan.
They paid transfer fees for 2 players, a total which could reach around £40 Mill. They did however sell Iwobi for a free which could each £22 Mill and the sales of Gray and Cannon totalled around £15 Mill.

I think if they were to get a points deduction, anything more than 3 points, then they go down.

Not before time also, so often they have escaped and celebrated on the pitch like they'd won the cup.

Didn't they also sell that striker that was on loan at Sunderland last season to Coventry for £9m?

After Brentford away they have Luton and Bournemouth at home before a tough run of games.
Anything less than six points in those two and they're bang in trouble.

From what I hear they are buying on the never never and selling cash up front .
They have just taken a high interest loan from probable new buyers 777 reported to be 'tens of millions' for day to day running costs

The what looks like a superb new ground at Bramley Moore Dock has run out of money .777 again stepping in with a loan to complete. The investment firm 777 wont have to do anything but collect the interest on the loans .

On top of all that financial missmanagment that will see them bouncing along the bottom of the league until they drop and become the new Sunderland they have Dychball to contend with .

And we still need a striker

How does that work, Willo? A 'free' that could reach £22 million seems odd.

He's also made reference to Jim Cannon and Andy Gray there, apparently confusing Everton with 80's Palace YT, so I wouldn't grill him too harshly there may be something else at play.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Actually I've just re-read Willo's post and have concluded that he's taken the 'r' from reach and has added it to the word 'fee' to make it 'free'. Ergo what he meant to say was there was a fee (not a free) that could rise to £22m.

As you say...maybe something else at play, aged 71!

If I was an Everton fan I would be very wary of these new buyers. I have a hunch they are really after getting their hands on the new stadium, which could be a cash cow with concerts etc. Hopefully they will drop but not holding my breath about any points deduction

"Neverton" have achieved two very good away wins in their last two games and have perhaps turned a corner following their recent sale.
If only we could do the same !!

Pure conjecture on my part, but if .777 have given a loan to Everton and secured it against Bramley Dock and/or Goodison and have agreed that should Everton go bust they have first charge on the grounds and club - would they now (as it is being rumoured) just pull out of the sale and wait for Everton to go bust?

It would seem incredibly stupid for the owners of Everton to do such a thing, however if they are in such a state, then who knows what they have done and perhaps they have just been tucked up by .777 who have loaned them money and now may get a club for nothing and two prime sites in Liverpool.
