Nobody could possibly question by devotion to the club, having being an ardent supporter since the 60s and following the team around the country in all weathers. Apropos the FA Cup Final, my views were articulated on HOL and I have no desire to rake over old coals. First game 1961. Been to Bury, Halifax, Chesterfield what is your point? You always show a negative attitude towards the team and will never criticise a ref

Absolutely. There should be a 'buffer' in which case the 'offside line' should be (i.e.) 5 times thicker than it is. If the attacking player is beyond this thicker line, then he is definately offside. Benefits of this system is that the benefit of the doubt.
And we still need a striker |

Apropos referees I have consistently averred that they are human and of course err from time to time, having to make split-second decisions in fast-moving scenarios.
