All Blacks walkover dull dull dull.

Please may tonight's game be at least a contest.

A disappointing end. Front row replacements let us down but we got a lot closer than I thought we would without looking like scoring a try.

Was a huge surprise that the ref who was clearly poor in the previous match was just as poor in this one. It was clear that South Africa were not driving straight in the scrum where they were given a penalty. It should have been an England penalty.
That was despite the shoulder charge to the head South Africa did, accidentally, in the first half and despite the not rolling away that South Africa clearly did at the end.
I'm not asking for perfection but for two games to rely solely on incorrect refs calls is a bit more than a little unfortunate. It's turning me off of the game.

The turning point in the match was when Farrell put a beautiful kick into the SA corner, their wing (or full back) messed up, and we had a throw-in on their 5 yard (or metre) line. Farrell roared his satisfaction, George threw in crookedly, they won the ensuing scrum, and then gradually took control, greatly helped - as has been said - by problems with our replacement props.

If we had come away with just a penalty from that last attacking position..............

England played a game, taking weather conditions in to account that did upset the springboks style of play for most of the game and did feed off the scraps very well the drop goal was perfect timing which could of got them through and could off paid off England did very well just could not hold it for a full 80 mins, yes wales lost to Argentina and England beat Argentina in the pool stages and Ireland also beat south africa in the pool stages, Knockout rugby is totally different to pool games and I do believe sometimes those pool games are sometimes purposely lost to get a more fancied easier draw, Wales and England had better pools both did well to get where they were after not being fancied to go far, Ireland I feel for they had a good team and should of been A semi final place but the draw was always going to give them a quarter final with new Zealand or france.

At least England made a good match of it, much to South Africa's (and almost everyone else's) surprise. Really good game of rugby and an awful way to lose it. The mass substitutions and scrum tactics to win penalties saved SA embarrassment.

Oh well, perhaps a Bronze.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Ireland beat the Springbocks and lost to the Kiwi's. So, i predict the All Blacks to win the overall title.

well, it was never going to be Romania, now was it ?
