Understandably a lot of frustration about the number of these injuries we have. However they appear more common place throughout the game. Do we have any medics/sports scientists that can explain why.
I'm thinking, speed of the game, closing down, pitches, long warm ups/warm downs at games, training methods generally. In the past pitches were rubbish but these injuries were less commonplace but is that the point, in that the game was slower.
So how come Jordan Ayew ploughs on week after week, given the amount he is fouled (allegedly!)

Those would all seem to be likely factors with the speed of the game being the main one, players now sprint far further than they used to and more often.
Just a guess but could the boots have anything to do with it? They are designed for speed and are so light they might not offer the same base.
As for JA he might just be lucky with his physical make up.
