Was a lazy, lackadaisical performance against a team we knew could only try to outwork us and swing balls into the box.

It seemed as though no preparation was done for this nor was it amended at half time or during the match.

Absolutely sh!t and ridiculous.

Yep that was b awful. And watching Edouarde getting caught offside time and time again when we were on top in the first half. What’s the point of getting Elize back & putting in crosses and passing to that muppet.

Nonsense.

Well, Edouard was a liability first half, all the good work we did fell apart around him. We desperately need to get rid of both him and Mateta, bring in a decent striker and hope that Franca can turn into a goal scorer at PL level.

Many on this thread, including me, were hoping for a point foreseeing it as a difficult game which we could easily lose.
Everton are not the clueless team of recent seasons and have a good manager in Dyche and solid , experienced players like Pickford, Tarkowski, Doucoure, Guehi, McNeil and Calvert Lewin.

Don`t jinx it!

I feel sorry for Roy, do you think he wants a squad with Edouard and mateta as his strikers, ward and Mitchell as full backs he has no choice but to start, no replacement for our best player, lerma as a replacement for macarthur and luka. Great spine but we all know where we're lacking and its the boards fault.

To me Edouard follows in the footsteps of Gabbiadini, Taylor, Akinbiyi .... but is a poorer players than any of those

We give Marco Gabbiadini stick, but look at the stats.

He was a one-goal-in-three striker at Sunderland when we paid £1.2m for him and guess what?............He was a one-goal-in-three striker at CPFC.

His greatest offence was that he was not Ian Wright........not even close.

Frustrating result. No idea why Hughes started over Doucoure, did he have a knock or something? If not made no sense.

We all know where the weaknesses in this team are at this point and it's boring typing it out repeatedly.

It is insane that we haven't bought better full backs to compliment our centre backs and I think it's a crying shame that we'll probably lose at least one of Anderson and Guehi in the summer without ever seeing what we could have done without those weak links in defence.

The difference in quality in our team from having Ayew and Schlupp as our wingers to Ayew and Olise as our wingers is absolutely absurd and, again, it's baffling that we didn't get anyone to replace Zaha. Unless you count Franca, who Roy said we basically all need to back off from.

I dunno. We're so close to being a really good team, like 2/3 players away, but we never quite get there and will always just fall slightly short.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...

Funny because I thought we looked pretty good and cant believe we came away without 3pts let alone 1

Just back from the game. Sometimes the performance and the result don't match. I thought in general we played well, Eze was great, but they took all of their chances and we didn't. Compare tbis performance with that agaibst Forest and its chalk abd cheese. It's painful, but it happens.

Eddie scored a good goal but his overall play is simply not good enough. He doesn't work the defence hard enough nor does he score enough goals albeit he has 5 this season which is a good start. If he ends up with around 20 PL goals then I shall have to revise my opinion.

Doucoure didn't train all week until yesterday Roy said in his pre match press conference. I don't know why though.

Why are you feeling sorry for Roy..??

He has resources at his disposal - but continues to play his favourites - irrespective of how badly they perform..!!

Ward is just a liability, Hughes too lightweight for the Prem - Schlupp - not even sure what he does - the list goes on..!!

Look Olise was clearly fit - so why not start him, why Richards is not given a go at right back is beyond me when Ward is so poor. When is he ever going to give Franca a go - where was Ozoh today - not even on the bench..!!

So no I don’t feel sorry for Roy - just fed up with him playing his favourites and it’s costing us..!!

As I said raging..!!

He can't trap a ball, can't manage 2 yard passes, doesn't win headers, can't stay onside and doesn't bother running.

His one saving grace is that he has a few goals this season.
But it's catch 22. Does Roy pick this lazy striker or his replacement, Headless Chicken?
