GK Johnstone

CB Guéhi

CM Lerma
CM OZOH
CM Ahamada

CAM França

RW Olise
LW MATHURIN

ST OLA-ADEBOMI

Subs: Édouard, Matthews, Ayew, Hughes, Ebiowei,WELLS-MORRISON, FRANCO UMEH

Go with 3 at the back because clearly our RBs and LBs are not up to it. Use our A1 Academy that SP loves.

Jan and summer windows get rid Clyne, Ward, Schlupp, Mateta, Tomkins. SP says in the jan window he wants to bring in a couple of loans maybe slash the cash we will see

That will give the boys a game, should be fun, like everyone else nothing would be more pleasing to me than if they succeeded. It’s not much fun when they crash. though.

I can’t say relegation bothers me too much, as a palace fan of a more mature age I’ve been there done that several times. One way or another it certainly freshens things up and I’ll probably be looking forward to next season more than if we stay up.

Sadly I have to agree with you. My mate said recently that Palace just aren’t a PL team. This is our 11th year muddling through on a shoestring while smaller clubs outspend and outgrow us. When we have our best 11 fit we look a half decent side but a couple injured and we produce the dross we suffered the other night. Some blame the board and Dougie for poor recruitment while others blame Roy for not being prepared to play half his squad. Whatever the truth it’s not good enough for a PL club to effectively have a squad of 14 players some of whom are clearly well past their best. After 11 years we are a Championship club punching above our weight in a stadium badly in need of improvement. SP talks of us being an established PL club with top half aspirations and of plans for a new stand. It sounds great but we are where we are. It’s time to p*ss or get off the pot and go back to the league we can afford.

This was all talked about last year when they re-hired the manager. I actually said then a lack of investment and cover for players etc. etc. Might come back and bite us fairly and squarely on the a**e. I was slagged off on here for saying so. I just hope the a**e can take it...........................it doesn't look good.

Your post is spot on Pax.

Wait really? So 6 teams have to win at least 2 games and some 3 games of the (4) games played and we don't take a single point.
Yes totally plausible.
No the Miracle would be if we were before new years.
But the new coming months.. Maybe

You sound exactly the same as me, you know what we are and where we’re at, realistic in other words. We’ve had a good go at it and SP and Dougie have done a good job in keeping us in the division, but undoubtedly have made mistakes with signings recently and punching above our weight may be catching up with us.
I’d never have a pop at Parish though, I certainly wouldn’t have the nouse, intelligence, enthusiasm and certainly the money to run our club, so I’m grateful that we’ve had someone at the helm who was willing to have a crack at it and not put the club at risk financially
It’ll be sad to go down, but I’d be up for a reset next season, although that’s easy for me to say I know, as I don’t have to balance the books and handle the ego’s and the revolving door of players next summer if we did slip through the trap door.

Listen to all the white flag wavers. The yanks are not going to watch us and their investment devalue without trying an Allardyce 2.0.

We won't go down this season. Everybody thinking so should put money on Palace going down. And don't tell me that you cannot bet against your team. Then tell your friends relatives to do the betting and line up for the slaps at the end of the season.

Key game this afternoon with Luton in action.
Would be excellent if City can finally return to form and put this "Championship" side to the sword.

Yeah great idea, let's have half the team made up of u21 players who've already lost to Wycombe, stevenage and Wimbledon in the efl Cup. The rest of the league will be shaking.

Hmmmm! 1:0 and nice delivery by Townsend. Up to this time it looked more like a Rondo.

I still think we'll avoid it this year, but only by the fact that the bottom 3 are truly terrible.

I suspect the Roy rear-guard will be in force over the next 6 games and we may pick up the odd point.

Lets just hope that this debacle will make Parish and DF think a little more about the depth of the squad. Its unacceptable

The bottom three are all showing signs of fight a determination and picking up points. We did show some fight yesterday and also at West Ham. And maybe Bournemouth are just a hot side at the moment. We could easily have beaten Everton on another day as well as Luton. What we do need is for our fortunes to change. A bit of luck can make a big difference. We have had no luck at all recently.
