Bring it on. Andersen to launch the ball forward and everyone to chase after it, playground style, fantastic. Al-ball.

Keeping Roy until the end of the season will turn a bad atmosphere into a toxic one - like Bournemouth on a more regular basis.

That I'm tired of being here. Every time when we think we are making the next step, reality strikes. What's the point? We're not having fun anymore. Seeing Brighton not only overtake us slightly, but completely zoom past us at 1000mph and gain Europer league status and finish top of their group.

I've come to the point I'd rather be a yo yo club again. The 1 season in the Prem after promotion is more special than 10 years of dross

I actually can't wait to come back to the championship. Imagine being able win 5/6 games on the trot. Imagine being able to get an away ticket for any game without the need of 9000 loyalty points.
Imagine being able to aim for the play offs and win a game at Wembley again. Imagine being able to win the league.

After some hard thought. . . .Let's prey that parish keeps to his senses and keeps hold of Roy so he can steer back to the place where we fit most. Our home, the championship.

COME ON ROY! TAKE US BACK HOME

What is wrong with you?

What is the point of signing attacking talent with flair to park the bus at every premier league game? The patient approach to every game is clearly not working. Everyone complaints we don’t have money yet found £20mil very quickly to sign a keeper. Spent another £20mil on França to keep him on the bench. I don’t agree the squad is weak, lacking depth yes. To me it’s all down to the manager, teams like Brighton, wolves sell their best players and still have a go.

there was some real turgid parking of the bus from Roy pre Vieira, but not last season and this season we've been decimated by injuries - maybe a few more risks could be taken but our recent performances have been good especially when considering missing players, we can grind out a draw against superior opposition but we don't look much like winning games true, but this is 90% down to the impact of injuries on a small, unbalance squad. I don't like the lack of respect Parrish shows to his managers sometimes - Roy deserves to stay till the end of the season and with a sensible loan or two in Jan I am sure he will keep us up. we'll beat Brentford, but there is a big gap till the next league game and I suspect Cooper may come in at that point, which would be unfair on Roy. Many are criticising him for not throwing in young talent, but we saw with Franca v Spurs how risky that can be. Roy's done very little wrong, and not enough to be scapegoated, or maybe he's had enough of it - so much hard work and dedication and so little reward or appreciation.

I've never aligned with the view that going down would in any way be beneficial for us so can't agree there. I suspect we'd be waiting another decade just to be back where we are now, if that were to happen at all, so that seems pointless.

We haven't really progressed as a club beyond being slightly less likely to be relegated however we are punching and can consider a decade+ in the top flight as a major (and certainly for me, unforeseen) success.

The likes of BHA and Brentford are often quoted as to how well they're doing but both those teams have planned from the C'ship. We have existed continuously in a position where we gained an unlikely promotion quickly and as a result continuously fought fires and tried to plan for the future simultaneously. Add to that a relatively poor chairman and a small gate and... well... what do we all expect? Worth mentioning we've been to a cup final and have not been relegated in all that time.

As fans I feel as though we hold the right to moan about football and individual decisions, that's somewhat the point. I will always have my criticisms or opinions of any isolated managerial appointments/tenures, team selections, tactics, transfer windows etc. however I, like all others, am free from any bigger picture and longer term concerns. It's almost objective to say that when the team doesn't win for months and equally does not look too likely to, any fan will feel aggrieved (barring any who seek to virtue signal for whatever satisfaction that brings them). On any given Saturday the thought of beating Rotherham may seem more attractive than not winning yet again, within a double figure period, but that obscures and does not align with a longer term, far superior, view of things.

Roy may possibly be a problem but he's not the primary one. I suspect if Parish deems his position untenable he will move him and us on however Roy is his dream manager atm given his willingness and ability to operate within very limited means. I'd rather we see some arrivals in January and an improvement from the squad. In that instance I hope Roy stays. If not, I dare suggest he may well be moved on by SP and co. but how that will play out is anyone's guess.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!
