Everton have upped their intensity second half and as a result we look extremely poor and under pressure. No creativity from Lerma or Richards means there are no progressive balls from the middle. At least it’s been spotted and changes made to try and alter it.

VAR must go. Awful. On a separate topic, my personal assessment of Franca is that we won't see much of him for a while unless we have a lot of injuries. Very little awareness or quality at the moment.

Contact was minimal, thankfully, but going in studs up, shin high and not winning the ball is a situation I thought was universally accepted as warranting a sending off.
