Roy was paid to do a job and he has done that by keeping us in the premier league.Thats what the investors wanted and I suppose most of the supporters want.
But without the billionairre investors who prefer to gamble and invest in football teams rather than invest in Art,Property,Arms,IT etc, we cannot compete at the level of those teams whose investors have limitless money and may also use the process,(I am often told in some cases),to launder their money.

Having watched Palace for over 60 years, mostly in the lower divisions, as I have mentioned in my previous post, I have no doubt that watching attacking football in the lower divisons is preferable to watching what we have been playing for a long while in the Premier league.
Football is a business more than it ever was.We must accept that the investors needs will come before the risk associated at this level of being slaughtered by teams who have squads made up top international players and a low return for investment in a lower league.
The reality is that we are fighting above our weight, and have done so for many years.

There will be days when we get well beaten by the big teams. Happens every season. Thats the nature of being a lower half team. But it was the manner of the capitulation today - no desire , no passion. When the 4th and 5th went it , it looked like the moment in Roy’s face that it all came crashing down. He has lost the team , his defensive minded, uninspired, ambitionless team setups , and continued perseverance with certain woeful players who are out of their depth at this level.

Yes it is impossible to finish above the state sponsored teams over a season. But a good performance can see the occasional surprise result. Brighton, Brentford Bournemouth, even Forest and Wolves have created brands of attractive attacking football. Our team looks lost, with no plan or clue.

RH is a gent. But his time for slippers and pipe has come.

Beyond this if you are to believe reports , the board need to agree a way forward. Whatever that means. Clearly Parish and Textor cannot both remain.

Quick decisions needed, or we will be done. The only saving grace could be FFP penalties. But I would rather rely on performance on the pitch rather than the courtroom. We are a laughing stock and a complete shambles.
