One rumour doing the rounds is that Eze will be on the bench for Everton. Let's face it if he can get fit and stay fit that would be huge for our upcoming games, especially given Wharton and Munoz have improved our squad. Of course seeing him on the bench would also induce PTSD in many of us after the Olise fiasco!

sheffield and burnley are already gone. There are now at least 4 teams fighting to avoid the last drop-seat. That's good odds for any Eagle. EVERYTHING swings on the upcoming 6 pointer games. Not really a reason we won’t go down but possibly a bit of perspective. I’ve had the radio on a lot this week and listened to a lot of call ins and pundit chit chat. You would think that West Ham, Forest, Everton we’re all sitting at the bottom of the league, 10 pts adrift of the next placed team. The abuse and outrage David Moyes was getting, the owners of Forest for getting rid of cooper and the entitlement of the Everton fans (who for some reason must be colour blind as I swear the confuse the blue of Everton with the red of Liverpool). It’s crazy amounts of s***. All these teams getting absolutely berated by there fans, made me think how they would cope with what we get. But mostly it makes me realise that ‘we’ fans just want our team to do well and we all think we know how to fix it.

nottingham forest, Brentford, Luton, Everton.... there is no weak team among them. All have teeth and the ability to climb out of the relegation bucket.

If any of these teams experience injuries half as bad as ours then, like us, they will be gumming their way to the odd point. I am the eternal pessimist and expect relegation every season but we still have a chance.

Parish over the last few transfer windows has allowed the squad quality to fall below level necessary to be competitive in this league. Once key players were injured our options were limited. We now have to accept that relegation is highly probable whoever is the manager!
