Please just take a breath and calm down everybody.

Roy has been hospitalised but is recovering.

His replacement will be announced once Roy has officially retired through I'll health, which is inevitable.

Glasner would not be announced until after Roy's departure is confirmed. As he was in London anyway he took the opportunity to visit Spurs as pretty much anyone would...

Have a beer and wait until Monday.

Fab just tweeted Roy wants some involvement in Everton game after glasner broadly has agreed terms. Can see this going t**s up and Hodgson unfortunately staying. Why the hell would we give Hodgson one last game his already messed up the season for us enough

I would dearly love Roy to get one last game. We would be so fired up for it.

I see nothing reliable anywhere, including from Romano, that Roy is pushing to be in charge v Everton

Me too. But then, I see nothing reliable anywhere saying Glasner is lined up as our next manager.

This on BBC Sport website:

Manager Oliver Glasner will take his first Crystal Palace training session on Tuesday after his appointment as Roy Hodgson's successor is confirmed. (Fabrizio Romano)

Roll on Tuesday (and hoping for an against the odds result on Monday).

With the Everton encounter on the Monday there will not be too many of the First Team squad available for training on Tuesday !

If it wasn't Roy it would be Ray or Paddy. Hopefully with Roy there (if only for pre match speech) he can use the emotion of the occasion to fire the boys up a bit. Now there's apparently certainty over what happens the next day, it will relieve a bit of pressure all round and everyone can focus on the job at hand.

Given everything that's been going on the best outcome would be a heroic victory with Roy at least fit enough to get to the game, the away support sing his name, he goes out in the best way we could hope for in the circumstances and then on Tuesday he steps down in a dignified way and Glasner steps in (also in a less precarious position). Just for once it would be great if we did get a best case scenario!
