Do we only score worldies now?

I know we don’t score many, but surely there has never been a run of such amazing goals.

Ayew vs Everton
Lerma vs Chelsea
JMP vs Brighton
Eze vs Sheffield
Eze vs Sheffield
Olise vs Sheffield

If we could learn to score some scrapy goals, and from corners we'd be unstoppable!

Good'ns Mr R, but please sir can I add a couple of others?

Townsend vs Man City
Ambrose vs Utd
Not forgetting Hopkin LTCO.

But, yes, you're right we have scored some crackers in our time and I was thrilled with Ayew last night. The lad runs his socks off, never seems to get seriously injured despite being the subject of so many tackles and his goal was a beauty.

 

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

The post was less about scoring good goals every so often.

My point was that our last 6 goals have all been top drawer. In more sensationalist language every goal we have scored in 2024 has been a worldie.

We normally only score 1 or 2 a season. And we've had 6 in 21 days!

Well:
1) We can't score from corners and
2) we don't get sufficient people into the box often enough to score from inside it

So...
Worldies (as you call them) from outside the box it has to be.


PS I expect things to change as Glasner's influence takes effect.
