One way to scare the bejesus out of a bunch of Millwall thugs when in a tight spot: whip out the crocheted scarf.

Will wear my scarf with pride on the plane as I opted for the no-luggage option to save money. Wifey will shake her head and be glad that she won't accompany me .....

Especially as my real name is actually Nigel, they’d all die laughing I think

I had better inform my dear wife as she doesn't address me as 'Nigel'.

Which reminds me, Nigel Farage is a supporter of our club.

I hated my name until the likes of Nigel Benn and Nigel Mansell made it cool to be called Nigel

Well, my dearest wife has never addressed me as 'Nigel' from the day we met, going back to the early 80s.Nor my plethora of friends over the years.Nothing further to add.

It is not in the interests of HOL that this disintegrates into yet another dastardly 'Willo thread' so I fervently hope the debate returns to the subject matter.
For my part, I shall refrain from responding to certain comments to prevent a derailment of a serious discussion.

Exiting Norwood Junction station (for the Chelsea game) but before you get to the clock tower there was a woman perched on the left hand side of the pavement selling what looked like home made knitted bobble hats (red & blue) -

It really stood out to me because as I was leaving the house to come to the game I couldn't find my Eagles bobble hat & it was cold so I was feeling a bit miffed because 100% for sure the mother in law had put my hat in some drawer somewhere in the house, if there's one thing that really gets on my tits its me leaving something out so I can be sure to be able to find it / take it with me & she files the damn thing away somewhere.

Bless her, is she still there? A black lady? They looked decent quality as I’ve peered in her box when I’ve walked passed.

Yes for sure, nothing wrong with the product, just you can see the difference between a machine knitted hat & home made.
