Great news and what a luxury if we can rotate Doucoure, Lerma, Hughes and Wharton next season in the centre of the field. A solid bloc to mix and match, rest, provide injury cover and of course play.

FFS what a pathetic response. I've worked in finance for the last 30 years so can assure you i know more about it than you.

We signed him on a 5 year contract so he has over 3 years left. His value will only start reducing when there is less than 2 years left. He has a major injury so may never recapture the same form. Of course he's happy to sign a longer , improved contract. The risk is all ours

Arsenal just paid over £100m for Rice who had 1 year left of his contract (with the club having the option of 1 more).

There is no suggestion of a pay rise, just extended to 2029.

I said last week that it’s not foregone conclusion that our star players will go this summer. We all thought Olise was going to go yet he signed a long term deal, same with Eze and now Doucoure. The one I still maintain is the most likely to go is MG.
But it wouldn’t surprise me if he stayed either. It doesn’t appear that the club needs the finances from the sale of players and maybe the players see something with OG next season.

… and yet these boards are littered with comments about how little money we have, that we can’t afford to buy new players etc etc. So what is it do you reckon, we have money or we don’t have money? If we do have money then why hasn’t it been spent previously?

Too many unanswered financial questions at our club so I guess we just have to wait and see.

Probably have better insight to football finance if you're a pusher.
