Saw this today, surely not. Can't get into a poor Newcastle defence, would we want him?

I am not against this one. He always looked better going forward at Chelsea and in my opinion would be well suited by the wing back role in our current system. With him been out of favour at Newcastle he might not be cheaper than when he was at Chelsea.

Newcastle signed Hall on loan with an obligation to buy from Chelsea.

So unless Newcastle loan him to Palace, not sure how this one will work out.

Just mentioned this on the Tierney thread.

Click bait says that Newcastle still want to sign him but loan him to us for the season to get game time.

Personally I would rather look for another player to sign then help Newcastle develop their player.

Don't know the in's and out's of his deal with Newcastle, but surely an upgrade on Mitchell at left wing back?

Seconded.

I suspect this is one of those "deals" in the making that Palace know nothing about.

In a conversation I had yesterday, the name 'Lewis Hall' never entered the discussion.

I suspect that he is not under consideration and any bolstering of the squad in that position will contain a player on a permanent deal.I also suspect that Glasner might have eyes on players from abroad who have impressed him.

I have long felt that my musings have a soporific effect on many kind souls on HOL.

By way of remarkable coincidence, my good wife and I had a lengthy conversation last night, and the name Benedict Cumberbatch was not once mentioned.

I note the derision aimed at my opening comments.
Tempted as I am to embellish the sentiments, I shall refrain !
