In recent times, it has to be the 2004 play off final. I had the chance for 2 tickets but my daughter had a dancing exam that morning and rightly or wrongly I did not want to go without her so in the end we watched it on Sky. Great game, great result - absolutely gutted that we weren't there to savour the atmosphere.

Hey ho.

Stockport Away we opted to watch it on Telly!

This club of mine constantly tests my loyalty but I as do many other fans never falter or crumble My loyalty to the Palace will never waver My unadulterated passion for a club I’ve grown up supporting wont die, and my desire to keep coming back and take the blows won’t succumb to negativity

The Cup Final in 1990. I'd been to every round up til then, and when the tickets went on sale the club said that season tickets holders could get their's from the Sunday until the Thursday. There was such a queue on the Sunday that my brother and I took a day off work to go on the Tuesday as there would still be some left. We got to the ground only to find that they weren't selling them that day - you had to have gone on the Sunday. I think we went back on another day for non-members but again there was such a queue that we gave up. Instead, I queued for the Replay which was an anti-climax to say the least.

On a similar topic, anyone remember the tedious day spent at Wembley Stadium for the Centenary when Palace were playing in the 5 - a - side? I think we were the last match in the opening round after many hours sitting about, I think against Coventry. It was 0-0 and we lost on sudden death penalties (was it Barber who missed?).

How about a pair of pink sidewinders and a bright orange pair of pants ....

I was there. It was Sheff Wednesday we lost to and yes I think Barber did miss the penalty.

The game I most regret missing was the Man U Cantona kung foo kick game in 95. Up to that season i'd gone about 14 years without missing a home league or cup game. Then for various reasons started missing a few (not an easy thing to do) and I go and miss one of Selhurst's most famous nights.

I actually kind of regret missing the majority of the administration period. I had a season ticket in Holmesdale up until the year after Goldberg came in and did his business. Then my Dad started working Saturdays and I was too young to go on my own back then as was my brother to really want to go at all. Didn't get a season ticket again until 04/05. It's wierd to say I'm sad I missed that period but seems like a time when the fans and the team really pulled together and I just feel like a glory hunting c*** for coming back when we got promoted again.
