I've made no comment on the guilt or non guilt of the officers involved in his arrest. I made the comment that compo was paid out before the trial..., that's the only comment I've made. Its a factual and correct.

He indeed seems rather keen on executable orders.

If compo is paid out before a trail, before evidence for defence and prosecution has been collected, let alone heard... how can that compo be related to guilt or non guilt. Car insurance companies often pay out compo to avoid court.

I’ve sat in meetings where companies have paid compo based purely on how much it would cost to defend itself. Compo has no relationship with guilt.

Just as we are now seeing women coming forward about the sexual harassment that they have endured for decades, we are also seeing people get traction with their claims of unwarranted killings by police, notably of black men but not just of black men. The difference isn’t that “accidents” are happening, or that more “accidents” are happening, it’s that witnesses – who were routinely dismissed when contradicting the sworn testimony of the officers involved – now have a video camera in their pocket. What we now see in a minority, but nevertheless disturbingly large number of cases, is that the police sometimes lie following a death to justify their otherwise inappropriate or unlawful actions. The frightening point being that this has been going on for a very long time – the black community has been claiming this all along (and getting, at best, ignored for their trouble) – so we have no idea how many more unpunished, unlawful police killings there have been. They don't even keep central records of police killings so there is no way to know how many there are! How is that even a thing?
