After a poor start I thought we played alright until we got to Liverpool's box and got picked off chasing the game.

Henderson's worldy then absolutely killed what little confidence was left and the rest was a really painful watch.

In fairness we got the have-a-go football that many have been saying this squad should be playing (and Liverpool's form has been indifferent) but when you haven't got the legs to recover from committing players it's only going to end one way.

I still think Parish and the Yanks need to put their hands in their pockets in the window and stop playing at it.

Would make sense, another sad act trying to pick a fight with anyone who shares an opinion that doesn’t align to their own

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

I remember walking back to coach 2 after that Anfield game.

As we walked through the car park singing; "9-0, the scousers beat us 9-0" there was this cop on a horse "escorting" our little group, who was both confused and a little pissed off that we were singing rather than bitching and crying about it.

Why weren't we smashing s*** up, not even giving the cops any s***? He didn't get it, even tried winding us up...

We just kept on laughing and singing.

Why?

We just got a masterclass in attacking football from one of the great sides of the time. Palace where not in the same class as Liverpool on the day, but we still fought back, we came close on more than one occasion.

The Liverpool we faced today are the Champions of Europe and the Premier League, their manager has just won the World Manager award, some of their goals and play was the form that you can expect from a team in their position.

We had chances, we came close a few times. We needed a finisher, we needed a better referee in the last game, a less hectic schedule, Etc.

Did heads go down? Did frustrations show? Did mistakes happen?

Yes to all of these in both games, but I can't say that it felt the same this time.

Expectations have shifted, but more than that the ability to take one on the chin seems to have become rare among some of our supporters.

I don't know what would have happened if social media existed back in 1989, hopefully we had a lower melt population than now.

I've seen twitter posts digging at PVA for getting Salah's shirt and for Roy shaking hands and grinning at Klopp!

WTF!? Is it because they would be ungracious in defeat, that they expect everyone else to spit the dummy?

Meh, rant over, made a nice dent in the xmas beer supply.

PTID.

Yep, nice post. Occasionally you get hammered and just have to accept it. It probably won’t happen again this season.

Our opinions are actually quite similar, you blame the manager and we blame the players. We don't want to fight really we don't, we are fellow Palace.

Merry Christmas from both of us.

lets not forget there was a lot of uming and erring about offering PVA a new contract when we bought the bloke from WBA who is always crocked.Lets see what happens in the New Year

I'm pretty sure Roy was told that if he wasn't more attacking this year he was out, sadly a back four 0f over 30 doesn't lend itself to attacking footballer

I never understand why Roy insists on playing players in positions that they don't like eg

Max Meyer out wide
Schlupp Centre Forward
Wilf out wide
Time to bring Eddie Howe in, we all know Parish loves his approach

If you have, you have and you're sad..!!

If not, you're equally sad for trying to keep up the pretence..!!

Notice you say "we've" so suggests more than one person's opinion..!!

Really don't see what point you are trying to prove/disprove..??

It was totally unacceptable.
Humiliated by a team that only managed to draw at Brighton and Fulham.

Strange things can happen in football. Think Germany 7 Brasil 1 for example
