Lanzo , you want PV sacked , that’s fair enough it’s your opinion , but who would you replace him with ? Someone to make sure we stay up ? Like a pulis again or allardyce? Someone like that , that will have no long term plan or are you aware of someone we could get now that would benefit for years to come? Because although I understand peoples frustrations , we are 12th in league with minimal spend comfortably going to survive and sacking him would be absolute ludicrous

Potter??! What are you on Lanzo?

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

PV.....

better than Pardew....who lasted ages in the job while losing games.

not as good as Pulis

more fun to watch than Croydon-Roy

better looking than Dowie
-------------------------------------

my vote would be to give PV at least a half dozen more games. Plus the backing to crucify any underperforming players.

Its a damning indictment of our club that after 10 years in the PL, we are going into games like Brenford hoping to come away with a point.

Think that Viera has not had much to work with, but those he has got, he has not managed particularly well. A distinct lack of experience, and those with experience are either uninspiring workhorses or liabilities. (wilf aside obvs).

I've said it before and I'll say it again, until we have a goalscoring striker I really don't see how Vieira can be judged harshly. Getting to midtable without one is pretty impressive.

I would argue that not only does every team above us in the table have notably better strikers than us, but almost all (perhaps all) the teams below us do too.

We of course have a goal-scoring wide player in Zaha, which provides us with a precious source of points. However, the fact only four sides have scored less than us isn't just to do with the number of goals we don't get from our forwards, it is also to do with the lack of movement, combination play and awareness the offer to open sides up, especially at home. Zaha can't compensate for that, try as he might (and does).

I could be convinced that the manager's tactics are to blame for our poor goals record if I hadn't seen Ayew, Mateta and Edouard in 'action' for myself.

First, we could have loaned or bought a striker, but no, two midfielders, to go with Hughes, Doucoure, Luka, McArthur, Jairo and the chosen one Schlupp, a 19 year old, now next year can battle with Philips and Ozoh, for two places,
And Second, the season hasn't finished yet, so lets see what position we are in at the end.

i believe PV is doing an ok job , considering the resources at his disposal.

The Prem is insanely competitive and we are not a billionaire-backed Giant.

just look at how many huge clubs are below us, or even the massive clubs only slightly above us in the Table.....and shutup.

Those highlighted are our problem in midfield as not good enough now, McArthur was fantastic, but he is 35 now and injury prone. What sort of striker is available on loan in January, if any good why loan them out.

We’ll not be relegated this season, and we’ve got an easier run-in than games to date, so we’ll pick up a bit more.
We should be patient and support PV, give him another transfer window to further tweak the squad, and time for more of the youngsters to establish themselves, not panic, bring someone else in, and start over again.
