Crystal Palace kicked off their pre-season campaign with a 3-0 win at Conference club Stevenage Borough.
Dougie Freedman, trialist Charlie Sheringham and Lewis Grabban scored to give new boss Peter Taylor the perfect start to his reign.
Freedman to volled home from 15 yards from Tommy Black's pass to give the Eagles a 25th minute lead.
Sheringham, son of West Ham striker Teddy, tapped in the second from a few yards after a good cross from Grabban.
And five minutes from time, Sheringham returned the favour to set up Grabban to fire past the keeper.
Palace: (1st half) Speroni, Starkey, Ward, Fray, Borrowdale, Black, Soares, Reich, Hall, Macken, Freedman
Palace: (2nd half) Speroni, Butterfield, Cort, Hudson, Granville, McAnuff, Watson, Spence, Wiggins, Sherringham, Grabban
