Clinton Morrison
Clinton Morrison admits he fears for his Crystal Palace future.
Manager Peter Taylor is expected to have a mass clear-out over the summer and hotshot Morrison could be on his way.
He is one of the club's high earners and may be sold to cut costs, especially as he and Taylor have had publicised rows this season.
The Republic of Ireland ace is hugely frustrated Palace have failed to make the play-offs but badly wants to help his beloved Eagles go up next year.
"I've a year left on my contract and I want to stay here and do well for Palace," he said. "I want to take this club into the Premiership where it deserves to be.
"I'm disappointed because I don't want to keep playing football in this division. No disrespect to the Championship, but the best place to play football is the Premiership.
"That's where I and the rest of the lads want to be, but we've no chance of doing that now.
"We've still got to play a lot of the top teams and I bet we give them a good game, but we are just too inconsistent."
Morrison took his season's tally to 11 after netting in Saturday's 2-1 home defeat to Sheffield Wednesday, moving him to 96 Palace goals.
"I was pleased to score but I'm more disappointed with the fact we're not going anywhere this season," he said.
"We needed to win, but we buckled under pressure - that's the bottom line."
