Midfielder duo Ben Watson and Jobi McAnuff are poised to return to the Crystal Palace side for Saturday's visit of Wolves.
The midfield pair both had leg injuries and were rested for Monday’s 2-1 defeat at Stoke.
Eagles boss Peter Taylor said: "Ben was very nearly fit for the Stoke game, but we decided not to risk him.
"It was the same with Jobi. Because of his recent hamstring worries, he didn’t feel confident enough to play two games in the space of three days.
"They’ll both be fine for Saturday, but Darren Ward’s a doubt with an illness.
"The only other absentees are Stuart Green, who should return from his shoulder injury next week, and Dougie Freedman."
