Palace shoot down Aldershot

July 18 2007

Palace continued their pre-season period with a 2-0 win over Aldershot Town.

Peter Taylor fielded a team which included most of the players who played against Bromley at the weekend.

Palace were 1-0 up after 22 minutes when James Scowcroft was fouled inside the penalty area, and Ben Watson scored the resulting penalty.

In the second half the Eagles extended their lead when Shefki Kuqi took advantage of a defensive mixup, to tap home his first pre-season goal.

Palace Team

First half: Speroni, Lawrence, Hall, Hudson, Swaibu, Kennedy, Watson, Green, Martin, Scowcroft, Kudjodji

Second half: Flinders, Craig, Butterfield, Cort, Caralane, Fletcher, Soares, Ifill, Dayton, Freedman, Kuqi
