Neil Warnock has told Portsmouth winger Franck Songo'o that his loan spell at Crystal Palace won't be extended.
Songo'o has made four appearances for the Eagles but the French player has failed to impress boss Warnock and will be sent back to Fratton Park.
"We won't be extending Franck's loan," Warnock confirmed.
Songo'o's imminent exit will herald the start of Warnock's ruthless overhaul of the Palace squad.
Despite watching his side claim their first win under his management, Warnock believes the team needs a significant injection of new blood.
Shaun Derry has already arrived on loan and Warnock admits he wants to sign five more players in January.
"Even though we were only able to get one player in before the deadline I am hopeful of getting four or five new lads in during January and then going on to enjoy the second half of the season," he said.
