Darryl Flahavan
Crystal Palace have their sights on Norwich City goalkeeper Stuart Nelson.
Palace's No.2 keeper Darryl Flahavan is set to leave the Eagles in search of first team football after featuring just three times since his move from Southend last summer.
He spent the end of the last campaign on loan at Leeds United after finding it difficult to displace Player of the Year Julian Speroni who had another brilliant season.
Manager Neil Warnock said: "Darryl would like to play first team football this year so [goalkeeping coach] Jim Stannard is looking at other alternatives and I believe Stuart is one of them."
Alan Lee is lining up a transfer to Norwich - just 11 months after signing from Ipswich Town. He spent some time on loan at the Canaries after failing to settle in London.
Charlton forward Andy Gray and winger Jermoe Thomas are interesting Warnock who would also like to bring centre half Claude Davis back to Palace after a successful loan stint last season from Derby.
Warnock could decide to take former Southampton hotshot Stern John, now aged 32, on trial. Fulham striker Eddie Johnson is another name linked with the Eagles.
The Palace boss added: "We need strikers desperately and that's what we are concentrating on."
