June 1 2010
Crystal Palace fans are organising a protest march today in London to attempt to stop the club from going into liquidation.
The CPFC 2010 consortium, who the only interested bidders for the club, are negotiating to purchase Crystal Palace FC and Selhurst Park, however there is a sticking point in the contract with the Bank of Scotland (who are selling Selhurst Park).
Unless the situation with the Bank of Scotland gets resolved by 3pm on 1st June, club Administrator Brendan Guilfoyle will start the process of liquidating the club and selling off the playing staff.
In attempt to highlight the club's situation to the Bank of Scotland there has been a march organised which will centre around the building of Lloyds banking group in the city (Bank of Scotland is part of Lloyds).
The march starts at London Bridge station at 11am and is aiming to arrive at the head offices of Lloyds banking group (25 Gresham Street, London). by 11.45am.
For more information about the protest march, visit the facebook page or visit the HOL messageboards for the latest.
