QPR v Palace

Loftus Road, Tuesday 8.00pm

Story so far

It's that time of year already - we're set for a trip across London for our rematch against QPR.

The last time we saw them at Selhurst, which was only a month ago, QPR looked like a team that would escape the threat of relegation whilst the Palace performance gave us cause for concern. The only plus point for Palace was Morrison's late goal, which has seen him begin his run of 5 in 4 games.

One month on, and it's Rangers who have struggled for results having only picked up a solitary point.

The Neil Warnock revival is in full slow in South London whereas new manager syndrome appears to be waning in the West.

A win tonight will put us eight points clear of QPR, who occupy the final relegation spot.

Team news

Matt Lawrence sits the game out through suspension after picking up five yellow cards this season. It means Danny Butterfield should replace the former Millwall man at right-back.

Mark Kennedy's achilles injury means he is struggling to be fit and PAUL DICKOV has sustained another toe injury.

Tony Craig (shoulder), PAUL Ifill (abductor) and Victor Moses (thigh) are all missing.

QPR defender Michael Mancienne (hamstring) is doubtful but midfielder Simon Walton (broken leg) won't feature.

Dexter Blackstock is in the middle of his three-match ban after his recent red card at Stoke City.

Quotes

Neil Warnock said: "I couldn't really ask for a better six games before January 1st. "Because if I have any doubts about any of my squad in the next six games I'll know for sure who I want and who I don't by then.

"Four of them are away from home, and they are all going to be tough games."

"It will be a hard game because QPR are very good, especially at home, with players like Scott Sinclair and Rowan Vine who are worth lots of money. We'd have loved to have had them but couldn't afford them.

"Money doesn't necessary win anything - it just gives you a better chance - but we've got to focus on what we're doing and not worry about anybody else."

"Other than letting Sinclair going inside him in the home match against QPR, I can't see where Matt's [Lawrence] made a mistake since I've been here."

One to watch

Scott Sinclair

QPR's top scorer

Rowan Vine - 2 goals

QPR's bad boy

Martin Rowlands - 4 0

Palace old boys

Mikele Leigertwood

Sinclair has developed a habit for scoring against us. He often threatened our back line last month and scored a decent header as well.

Sinclair's pace, skill and touch will give the defence something to think about but they can hopefully shackle him and deny him the space to be a menace.
