I've been stewing on this all weekend and it's time to face facts. We're going down. And we're going down bottom of the pile unless something changes.

What were the tactics for Saturday ? Bearing in mind we were playing a team in the bottom three with an awful home record (albeit better than ours away !). Surely this was a game where 3 points were there for the taking. I guess anyone can argue that 1 point is a means to an end but the simple truth is that if we don't score we're not going to get a point every time.Bannan not even on the bench ? Is he injured or is he sh*gging TP's daughter ?

Also :

Jedders : WTF is going on with him ? What is the point of having a 'ball winning' midfielder if he just gives it straight back to them to have another go ? The guy cannot pass for toffee whether it be 30 yards or three. It's got to be the worst passing performance I've seen in a Palace shirt since the days of Neil Emblen (yes, THAT bad !). I'm sorry but if by some miracle we stay up TP will be offloading him. You simply cannot have a player who gives the ball away so consistently.

Yannick : All bluster and pace but flatters to deceive and is quite frankly a liability when he get near their 18 yard box and is coming across to me as all mouth and trousers. To be fair, tackles back very well and puts in a proper shift.

KG : Have defended him for ages but I'm afraid after Saturday he's worn me down. Not good enough, and I was saying that before he blasted the ball wide from 2 yards out near the end.

Positives :

Jules : Outstanding as usual. two great saves (one was offside, but he wasn't to know that).

Defence. Outstanding also, especially as both full backs booked in the first 15 which could have made for a long afternoon if one of them had picked up another yellow. They must get well p*ssed off that they're doing their but but we can't create anything up the other end.

Answers ? No idea, but we have to treat each game differently surely. If it had been Anfield, fair enough, but we need to be more of a threat, and we'll need to be also at Cardiff, West Ham and Fulham or our season is just going to fade away.

You are in my heart Palace and I love you deeply. Always have, always will but jesus christ you make me sooo angry sometimes !.

Rant over.

We got a point away against a team who on paper is stronger than us.

Rant over.

Mate, it unusual to have a seemingly knee-jerk reaction 2 days later. You need to let it go a bit, this has been done to death in other threads.

And in Borini and Johnson they have 2 potential match-winners that we (just about) managed to keep quiet.

They boo-ed their team at the end, we've got a hard won point.

Job done I reckon.

You'll be forever in my family's memories and it was an honor and privilege to play and lead in the red and blue
Yours sincerely
Mile Jedinak

Oh great! Yet another bollox thread that regurgitates exactly the same cr@p as all the other cr@p threads, well done.

Mods, any chance of merging this with other twenty million treads with the same content?

As I sad, the defence played well.

We ended the weekend 3 points above the drop, and denied one of our biggest rivals what would surely have been viewed as an essential 3 points.

So no valid points then. Haven't read any other posts..wanted to have my ten pennysworth first. Last I'll say on the matter is I think we can do better and hate to see us play like that in a game we could have won, cos we're running out of games and still need 3 wins IMO.

Thank you and goodnight.

I know where the OP is coming from and he isnt really wrong...but...1 point away from home anywhere is a good.

The mackems expected to whip our jacksies and have the players to do it...but they didn't.

We needed to whip their jacksies but we cant score.

So we ended up with a stalemate, didnt really do either side any good but better for us than them.

I think Jedinak is looking tired. He's put in some immense shifts this season, but I think his performances recently haven't been of the standard he'd set himself previously.

Bolasie has little end product. Very frustrating because he looks the part until it comes to decision making where he is quite hopeless at times.

KG - pretty unconvincing and I think it's time to look at other options. Shocking miss on Saturday and highlights the fact that we have zero goal threat from midfield.

It's tough for the manager. I think his first thoughts are to avoid defeat rather than going out to win games, and I assume that he thinks that's the correct approach given the group of players that he has.

Bannan

And possibly...

Ince - if we can extract from him the talent he clearly has.

A point away is always a good result for us. Recent away history for CPFC 2010 has always been poor, last season was probably our best since the Administration season.

And we were still all about our home record. Sometimes I wonder if people actually think we're a different club.
