He won't be overage as he is 22 & won't be 23 till December. If he goes, he'll get injured(again) & we'll lose him till Dec, just in time for the transfer window

Yes, it's under 23s isn't it. Frankly, Olise will only go to the Olympics if he wants to. I also wouldn't be surprised for Glasner to have a chat about it. It's not a worthwhile football tournament. Frankly, in the current climes, anybody going to the Olympics risks injury. My main advice is to not share a hotel with the Israeli team.

Odds are we are going to lose him, injured or not. So, going to the Olympics is irrelevant.

Ultimately, his (and our) recent run of good form and recovery from Injury has come too Late for Olise and the euros. It's always a risk to select someone for a tournament who you've never selected before.

DD obviously thinks he doesn't need to take that risk.

Surely Southgate will be on the phone. Olise would be a perfect fringe player to come on and win matches with 15 mins to go.

Indeed though I was more suggesting that Henry will have some of the Euro squad to pick from , Mbappe and Dembele have both suggested they would be up for the Olympics . Its not certain that Olise would make the squad or even play much if he does .

That will certainly encourage him to declare for France.

It will be disruptive if Olise and Mateta are both selected for the Olympic squad thereby missing pre season training with the club as well as potentially a game or two.
I don't think Olise has had a pre season with the club since joining.

. . . Or he could declare for Afcon, his father, Nigeria, or His mother, Algeria. Just saying.
Sorry, forgot, injured.
