Parish invested £3m along with 3 others in 2010. Championship losses were refunded to the investors after the first season in the Premiership (confirmed by Steve Browett). Based on the £200m price tag being talked about when there was talk of a takeover a few months back Parish's 18% is now worth £36m, so he's really out of pocket!!

If Parish and 2010 left this club then we truly would be in trouble and you'd have American businessmen running it.

Some people don't know a good thing when they have it.

They have a say....De Boer was Parish's pick reportedly against their wishes.

Without Parish you have those same American businessmen running the club.

If Parish turns around and says this isn't worth it then the over reactionary idiots..and I'm not picking you out, I'm speaking generally....but it will be those who take things too far who will be the ones to blame for the club being run by non fan Americans who just view us a commodity.

Parish detractors are more of a threat to the club than Parish could ever be. If he decides to leave because of all the over emotional flak from idiots then we truly are in trouble.

Parish has made a mistake with De Boer and everybody makes mistakes but this guy and his group saved this club and made the decisions that enabled the club to be promoted.

People forget that we had no right to be promoted.....We were a middling spending Championship side. The Freedman era had some brilliant transfers in it.

Most managers have little more loyalty to their clubs than players do. Parish is a fan who has put his money into the club, you don't get more loyal than that.

Everyone has the right to criticise, but criticism of Parish needs to be made with the common sense that this guy and 2010 were the best thing that has happened to this club since the glory days of Venables.

Of course this is correct

None of us knows what promises FDB made and what promises SP made at the start. If the rumours are any where near close it is FDB that promised things he couldn't deliver like stability and a team that had confidence.

It appears Parish realised early on that FDB was a mistake, I am guessing a lot of that was to do with player reaction. I am also guessing the writing was on the wall before Sunday as he failed to turn around his relationship with the players and staff and not because we lost.

Good on Parish that he realised this one was not going to be recovered early enough to prevent lasting damage. Watch us soar to mid-table obscurity now.

We battered Burnley - viz the stats - but couldn't finish. Shame we didn't get on that Turkish striker's case soon enough during the window... The shape and performance seemed markedly better and the spirit good, esp for the 20 mins after conceding that daft goal. But sacking was premature... poor results certainly, but this seems like changing horses BEFORE mid-stream ... and was there some big ego/personality clashing going on??

After Swansea I was firmly in the de Boer out camp, but after yesterday’s game I had come round to the view that, given more time, we might soon see an improvement in the results with him as manager. Right now I’m stuck between feeling sorry for him and pleased that he has gone. On the one hand I would probably say he should have been given at least the Southampton game. Then after that we have three games that we’d be lucky to get anything from whoever was in charge, so he might as well have stayed for those too. Then he could be judged, if not on the results, at least on the performances. Mind you, with even 3 points from 8 games, let alone none, his coat would have been on a very shoogly peg indeed.

Some managers are regarded as lucky, but I think FdB must have run over a black cat somewhere along the line. On another day we could have come away from Anfield with a draw and we certainly should have had at least a point yesterday. FbB has also been unfortunate with injuries to Wilf, Loftus-Cheek and Tomkins so early in the season and perhaps now he’s even been unlucky to have been given the push. In this league Palace need all the luck they can get, so I don’t think retaining an unlucky man at the helm will have done us any favours.

Somehow I doubt you'd ever make a financial adviser.

Palace's promotion came about with a hell of a lot of luck.

Considering they bought the ground too with the money back in 2010 and had other failsafes then 'yes' pretty much. No businessman is going to give away £2.5mill in an investment unless they think there is money to be made or, at the very worst, be able get their money back somehow if the business flattens.

So who else was investing 3 million in this club in 2010?

I hope he makes double that and more.....There would be no club without them and him to run it.

Whatever 2010 do ...if we still have a club then they have been a massive benefit.

I can't believe SP loses sleep from HOL hot air. However, if it is really true that buying Sakho was a populist decision that's basically as bad as the mess with this sacking.

Didn't need him, far bigger priorities should have been addressed.

This has been the epitome of 1 step forward and 2 steps back. To put so much effort into appointing somebody, only to not give them time to do anything before firing them and putting yourself back into the position you were 3 months ago is simply just insane. Insane!

INSANE!

Care to enlighten on us on what approach to take then? Because it certainly doesn't seem very easy to me.

After the spirit and fight shown by the team yesterday, this morning's sacking is plain bonkers and clearly shows that a decision to replace Frank was made some days ago.
As a club, we are a laughing stock and rightly so, seeing as SP took some 6 weeks to carefully select the 'right' candidate for the job!!
