The stats tell me that Gayle scored more goals In the Premiership than Gestede does in the Chanpionship. Having said that, they're clearly not the same style of player and Gested might have scored the goals Gayle scored in the Premiership, if not more.

Hilarious. Pardew has started Murray in 2 of his 3 games in charge so far, plus given him good time off the bench in the other. Warnock admitted he'd have played Murray had he been available and yeah, he didn't fit the Pulis system - fair enough. I wasn't having a go. Or even arguing Murray's case. Simply correcting a previous post that stated 'we all know Murray isn't good enough' (or words to that effect), which even the briefest scroll through this forum would disprove that statement.

I've not the time or will to bother reading however many posts with people slating each other but would say...getting back to the original matter...that Gestede would probably be a better signing for us than Deeney or Rhodes. Less money and wages too. If Chammy continues to be out and Muzza is used sparingly then this is the fella for £5m or thereabouts with Gayle and the other guys going forward. Not a wannabe bigtime Charlie and can do a FFS job. Just my thoughts. I await the slating...zzz.

this guy would be a great foil for gayle being big and strong cf which we need badly,also he is a muslim and french like chamake so they will be good for each other.WHY are we taking so long to wrap this up i hope its not parish again wheeling and dealing as usual,this guy is a must he also wants to play for palace which is wonderful so move yourself parish and stop messing about.

If that's true then its disappointing but to be expected. Trying to get something for nothing is the way our chairman negotiates. Expect him to sign for hull or wba tommorrow and we will sign Kevin Doyle because he's cheaper.

So many great transfers in the last 3-4 years or so (Murray, Bolasie, Ward, Dann, Jedi, McArthur among others) and you choose to pick Kevin Doyle.
